On Saturday I walked out to check my mailbox and found a mama kitty (I've seen her around, she's probably someones pet they abandoned) and she had 4 kittens. They were all hanging out in the bushes in the shade  (it was 105 degrees on Sat!!) I don't know where she's had those kittens hidden, but their about 8 weeks old. Smiley Mama is very thin, but I'll get her fattened up. I have a black and white male, a tabby male, a calico female, and a torti female mama looks like siamese. Of coarse i couldn't leave them out in that heat, so I've gone from 1 cat to 6!! The little calico girl has gotten a home. Mama is an outdoor cat, so if I can't find her a home, I'll get her spayed and make sure she stays fed. Smiley The kittens are a lot of fun!  Sily! We will probably keep any kittens we can't find homes for. Here's the kitties after a bath! LOL They were not happy.

Mama kitty is really thin, but we'll have her fattened up in no time. Smiley

They are soo cute!!!  But I just have to ask how do you safely bathe a cat?  I know my cats would have torn me up if they even thought they were going toward water!!   Cheesy

Kittens usually aren't too bad when their this little, they just mew pitifully. It's so sad.
I did bath mama last night, that was NOT fun, but she's all clean now and brushed out. Smiley She's such a good mama too, she calls her kittens and makes sure their all washed, it's really sweet.
I love all these babies, they are so cute. I'm going to be sad when they go to new homes.  :-[
This little doll already has a home. She's such a beautiful little girl, she was helping me change the shavings for the rabbit.

Sily! When you get stray kittens or puppies, they are usually covered in fleas ... Palmolive dishwashing liquid will paralyze the fleas for a period of time, then you can take a sprayer and spray them down the drain instead of them jumping off and away.

I put in a bit of baby oil to kill flees and then bathed the kittens regularly with pet shampoo. I saw quite a few of those nasty little flees. All dead though. Smiley I'm sure some escaped, but it's okay, I'll work on it.

Way to go kitties, you've luck out I'm sure.
They sure are cuties.
I thought my cat would go balisyic when I bathed him, but he didn't.
I bath him every spring to help remove the long winter fur.
Then I bursh him every day, with my chin comb, he loves it.

Yes they are cute! in love Good luck with all that! I had a cat that had 3 adorable kitties! They're still young, about, maybe 3 weeks old. One is a gray male, one is a female calico, and the other is a white female . It's sad though, so sad their momma got ran over on the 25th, Cry, so know I take care of them. There still pretty young, so I bottle feed them with kitten milk. We already found 2 people who want 2, (grey and calico) and we will probably keep the white one yes For little guys, they do meow loud and sometimes they tend to annoy me, no! (One time they woke me up while I was in a nice slumber) but when you look at them the madness just goes away grin They're still alive and I think they will survive, they are pretty healthy now.

Great job. We had to bottle feed kittens once, I was really young, but I thought it was fun feeding them at the time. They are so cute.

Sily! Any time you take on babies, you have your hands full.  yes

We had a small white female and always kept her inside ... she escaped once ... a huge neighbor cat got her.  The kittens were to big to be delivered normally.  She had to have a 'C' section and I had to bottle feed 9 kittens!

With chinchillas, you need to keep in mind that you cat needs to be up on all of it's shots ... especially the distemper (cat pneumonia).  It is highly contagious and will spread rapidly through a chinchilla herd taking most to all of them in less than 48 hours.

They are going to the vet after I get paid on the 12. Smiley grin

I am going to my exotic vet to have the kitties neutered/spayed, then signing them onto my Banfield plan for shots and check ups and stuff. Smiley

I forgot about this thread.  doh!
I ended up getting some help getting these babies homes. The calico and the black and white boy found great homes and I met a nice lady that does cat rescue in my area. She took the mama and the other 2 babies. She helps to place cats with seniors for companion animals. Smiley I am actually going to see how they are this weekend. I am donating some food and litter to her to help out.  grin
