What color would you call this little female?

Debbie.nl.ca:
I am mentoring a gentlemen on breeding here in Newfoundland, and he has shipped in some nice animals. Some from the Jags lines.
He just had an extra dark ebony dame and an ebony white sire, { with some extreme black spots}deliver  an ebony kit with a white under coat.

Debbie.nl.ca:
Is she a white ebony, ebony, or an ebony white  ;)
She a cutie, but what can we or can not breed her too is the question.

lilchinchilla:
Ebony white. Really dark though. You can call them white ebonies, ebony whites, ebony mosaics, etc... they are all the same mutation (ebony crossed with white). :)
You can breed to whom you choose to, but if it was me, I'd breed either to a standard, standard/ebony carrier or ebony, to try to keep up quality (if they also are comparable and both would help improve each others weaknesses.).

chinclub:
I love the dark ones like that.  I have found in my herd they lighten up as they get older and develop some really beautiful patterns.

Debbie.nl.ca:
Thanks guys, but if it's a white ebony I can't breed it to a white. What about the lethal factor? Does that come in to play?

Yes one of those wait and sees LOL
I try to keep colors bright but this one seems almost charcoal, not a shiny ebony. Yes I'd go with a standard too I think. ;)
We both had light tans born last season and his is almost a dark tan now while mine stayed light to med. ::nod::
