#20-they are considered to have one of the most valuable furs Correct! JM
#22-50 hairs in one follicle 50+ Correct! JM
#23-they have three pairs of mammary glands-6 glands total Since this is one of the two questions I took from an article I wrote for the Chinchilla Club Magazine ... May I ask your source, please. I based this question and it's answer on what my exotic pet vet told me.
#25-fresh pellets, fresh hay, fresh water, pumice stone for grinding their teeth, and I am going to guess things to chew on to keep their teeth healthy and the proper length (safe wood blocks, cardboard tubes, etc) Correct! JM

Jo Ann, I got my answer about the mammary glands from the following: Companion Animals: Their Biology, Care, Health, and Management by Karen L. Campbell, DVM, MS - University of Illinois, James E. Corbin, Ph.D. - University of Illinois, John R. Campbell, Ph.D. - Oklahoma State University I actually found it published by Prentice Hall as an online text, but it can also be bought hardcover. I really like this book because it seems (at first glance anyway, I certainly haven't read the whole book yet) to have a lot of good information on many species of pets (which is a good thing for my house) Hope this is helpful!
