Just adopted two 8 week old chins

Ok so ive owned chinchillas before and i still have a 3 year old that is my baby girl, but when i saw these two up for adoption on craigslist and that the woman only wanted $70 for both of them i jumped. So i have them home now with their new cage all set up and i remember when ive introduced babies to adults before(through the cage bars no actual contact) the adults have always sniffede and tryed to nip and the babies always cried out. Neither of the girls do this when i hold them up for murry to inspect them =/ i dont understand it. The only sounds ive heared from either of them are when evie sits in the corner and squeaks after i give her a treat (about a third of a rasin) Also the girls seem very small for 8 weeks, granted i know chinchillas can become pregnent more then once at a time so i figure evie is a few weeks younger because of her size but in any case i was wondering if any of you can tell me what i should do about the girls not crying at murry when she inspects them through the cage and suggest if i should get the girls vitamins to help where their so small? Also i can post picture if need be.

I guess I am not understanding the problem. Is it a problem that they are not making the noises you expect?
The "dual uterus", which actually one uterus with two sections, can allow for a dual pregnancy in rare cases when the estrus cycle continues during pregnancy. This is called superfetation. Usually when this happens the partially developed kits (premature) will be born at the same time as the ones that come to term. It is extremely rare for the younger set to survive in this case and the ones that do will likely be hopelessly premature. There are several possible reasons why one was born smaller than the other.
