I just got myself a 4 month old chinchilla but was finding trouble identifying the exact color of the chin. He has a white end tail and his head is a little bit darker.

Do you have any idea what the parents were?  From the lighter color up the side I'm thinking it is a white mosaic.  Sometimes they can show very little white.  I'm attaching a picture of one I just weaned in my herd.  But it could also be a very very light standard.

Yes I was thinking mosaic as well. I have never seen a grey so light or showing so much white. Could it be a touch of ebony in there maybe? Or what is it they call a reverse mosaic?
Some colors are hard to tell with out the pedigree. yes

I was thinking the ears wouldn't show as much pink if there was ebony in there...

Thanks for the help. He is very similar to the one that Chinchillaclub posted. I guess he must be a white mosaic Smiley
