New, just got first chinchilla :)

Hi everyone   My name's Ciara, I'm from Ireland, I'm 23 and studying vet nursing.  I just got my first chinchilla today   She's a little baby female, and a beige-grey colour and just beautiful and so friendly. 

I will be getting her a friend soon, just have to save the money and find a good breeder, because it's hard to find chin-breeders around here.  I got her from a breeder who I know and I'm so glad I didn't go to a pet shop, because she is so healthy and friendly and well handled. 

I also have 4 dogs (Cavaliers), 5 cats, 6 rabbits and 6 guinea pigs.  I breed Lionhead rabbits and different breeds of guinea pigs, and hope to breed chins once I get experienced in keeping them

I look forward to chatting about chinchillas with everyone and learning more

Congrats. Can you post a picture of your chinchilla and maybe the cage?

You must stay busy with all those pets. My parents thought I had alot of pets and I have to chinchillas, a puppy and i had to cats but not the puppy at the same time, but the cats live with my ex and its hard to see them.

I hope to one day be able to visit Ireland. Have you lived there your hole life?

I got my two chinchillas from a pet store and lucky they have been healthy. I'v had mine for about 3 years.

welcome to the greatest chinchilla forum around! the people on here are so nice and ever so helpful. i would love to see pictures of all of you pets. i have rabbits also both are lops one is a mini and the other a holland. i have 2 dogs and 10 birds as well as my 4 amazing chinchillas. my mom says i have a zoo but i tell her i dont because a zoo doesnt rescue animals . i would love to hear stories about ireland and see pictures as i bet its beautiful there.

Where in Ireland are you from? I am a chinchilla owner from Dublin. I've had chinchillas for 2 years. I know a chinchilla breeder who lives nearby, I could put you in contact with her if you like?
