These were the first 25 questions in our trivia contest that were answered correctly.  I will continue to archive these for study purposes so that our main trivia board is easier to read.

OK, I will ask questions here and the first person to post with the correct answer will get 5 Rewards Shop Credits!  (along with the regular 8 points you get for making a reply to a post!)

1st Question: How many teeth do chinchillas have?  I want to know the total along with how many are molars and how many are incisors.

I believe they have a total of twenty teeth, four incisors, 16 molars and premolars.

If anyone wants a really good site for anatomy info go to:

When you are deciding if a room is safe for a chinchilla...from overheating....

You add the what to the what and it should equal what number or less?

Sily! You do NOT have to answer all the questions ... Pick & Choose!  Sily!
The first one answering EACH separate question correctly gets 5 points for each correct answer!
(Jamie will credit those to your account.)
Some questions have more than one correct answer,
so if you think there is a second answer,
or the answer that was given wan incorrect ... give your answer!

 (1) What type of shavings should you never use with chinchillas? (No off-the-wall-answers, please.)

 (2) When were chinchillas introduced to the United States? (Year)

 (3) What is the average heart beats per minute for a chinchilla?

 (4) In the wild ... how many litters per year did most chinchillas have?

 (5) How many kits are usually in a litter?

 (6) Is it OK to leave daddy chin in with the momma chin while she is having her kits?

 (7) What is breed-back and is it healthy?

(Cool How quickly can a momma chin go back into season after her kits are born?

 (9) What size wire is needed for a chinchilla's cage, especially if they have kits or are going to have kits?

(10) What is routinely done to most animals immediately after surgery that might kill a chinchilla, if done to it?

(11) What is an average healthy birth-weight for kits?

(12) What is considered the minimum safe weight for a female before putting her into breeding?

(13) In breeding, when you refer to "safe size" for a female to go into breeding, is that referring to her actual weight and/or internal size?

(14) What is considered a "breeding situation".

(15) Is there a danger in breeding whites to whites?

(16) Is there a danger in breeding TOVs to TOV's?

(17) Is there a danger in breeding Beige to Beige?

(18) How long can a female kit safely remain with momma and daddy?

(19) How long can a male kit safely remain with momma and daddy?

(20)  How long can brother and sister remain safely together?

Hi I just lost 190 credits ... I could have posted each question separately!!!  doh!
