I'm adding forums as I can remember them but I could use some help.  If there was a forum you enjoyed that I haven't added yet please request it here.

Maybe a few "sticky's" in the Health section. How to check for Hair Ring, Anatomy (maybe a link to a picture for male/female. Smiley That's all I can think of at the moment.
Maybe something about "What to look for when getting a chinchilla for the first time??" whether they are buying for a breeder/petstore. Whatever.
 Basic breeding tip, like dont breed chins with know genetic risks, or unknown backgrounds. Smiley

The replies don't reload do they?
We have to go back in to see a reply we just made?

I've noticed that too. As of right now I don't know how to fix it, but I'll look through the mods and see if there is a way to change it.

The question is how to automatically return to the thread
after posting, right? I want to make sure I've got it.

Here's the steps to do that...

-> Profile (at the top of the forum)
on the left hand column you'll see different links of the controls.

--> Look and Layout Preferences
one of the tabs under "Modify Profile"

---> the fifth checkbox down
it says "Return to topics after posting by default."

----> scroll to the bottom and click "Change Profile"

If that's what you wanted, hope it helps Smiley

Wow, that is a page I havn't been to before.  Thanks, Aaron.  That also answers my problem of why the Quick Reply Wasn't Working.  You have to turn it on there too.
I guess that is what comes with moving to a new type of forum...it will take us all time to find our way around.

You're welcome, Jamie.
There's a lot of new things I never knew existed here.

How do you set the time properly?
I've tried a few different ways and I cannot
for the life of me get it to my time zone.

Sily! Hi!
 Just saying hello to everyone! Wink
Haven't been over the complete board/forum yet ... in the process of doing that now.   Would it be o.k. just to put some questions up (even if we know the answer) to get new threads started and interest going?

Sily!How about adding the smiley that called thinking, I think ... it has it's hand under the chin, rubbing the chin.

I'm going to some other parts of the forum and start adding questions that might be of intrest to chinchilla parents.  yes

Hi Joann & all,

I have been participating in the chats regarding my daughter's female ebony, Cheerio, and was wondering if young people are allowed to post on the boards or not?  If not, maybe we could start a separate forum for the kids to talk about their pets but also be able to ask questions regarding their care to the older/more experienced owners?  She has been intrigued by my participation in the board and I thought she would really enjoy it if she could join under her own name.  What do you think?

chinsgradma,
This is a really family friendly site, your daughter would be more than welcome to come here and learn! I love seeing kids who are interested in animals! Smiley

Great!  I will let her know, she'll be thrilled.  I am not sure what name she will choose yet, but she's 12, and I am sure she will pop up on here later today after she gets back from camp.

She had said since I was "chinsgrandma" that she should be cheeriosmom but I told her I couldn't quite deal with her being anyone's mom!!! Shocked

Thanks for the welcome mat!
