Lying flat

The first time Sammi lay flat on her side I thought she had gotten overheated, as it was summer, and I got really freaked out and lowered the house temperature a good five degrees... but then when I opened her cage she sprang right up and gave me this glare  for disturbing her sleep.

i went to the chin room this morning (i leave for work at 6am so it was before then) - in the girls cage, luella and pippi were lying flat next to each other, snoozing away, with fluffy lying flat at the bottom of the cage. i checked if they were breathing - it pretty much looked like somebody had gassed them all! i stroked mae for a bit (she's in a different cage) and a few minutes later, the trio was still snoozing. so i kept staring at them, in the end fluffy decided enough's enough, got up and woke up the girls. phew! they get me every time!
