Now that our profiles are so customizable with:
*about me sections,
*pets for sale
*guestbooks
would anyone like to make our profiles viewable to anyone? Right now you must be a member of the forum to view member profiles.
The plus sides would be:
Guests viewing our forums would be able to see your animals for sale.
You could pass out your profile URL as your own website if you don't already have a real website
The downside:
It could raise the amount of spam you get through email.

If profiles are able to become public, will there be a feature to keep yours private if you don't want the general public to see it? I get enough junk mail without it. LOL  |

Actually you can choose to hide your email address from the public so that would still keep people from being able to spam you even if they could see your profile.

For now, we will have to be on the "honor system" and ask that all minors, please, for your own safety, check the box that says no to showing your e-mail address to the public. Of course, that goes for anyone not wanting their e-mail address seen, just check "No".
This new feature is basically a courtesy for those wanting to put their chins up for sale.
