« on: March 13, 2010, 09:50:55 PM »

so Ive read some things about pan training your chin ???, how in the world do you do that? Ive tried when he pees outside putting him right back in the cage, all he does is wizz then run away a few times and up to the cage where he crashes and doesn't care! and he doesnt ever pee in his cage when im around to reward him, its rather annoying >:(

You can put a pan in his usual pee corner... he'll probably start using it on his own. This don't mean he'll ALWAYS pee in the pan, but keeping the pan clean will encourage it.

He pees outside of the cage?  Does he have a way of getting back into his cage to go while at playtime?  It might be that he is afraid if he goes back in to pee he will be closed in?

no he knows he can get out, he goes back and forth between eating, drinking and playing and then he'll zip up to take a nap then back down to play again. he doesnt have a pee corner, minus his hay :P but i got some advise for that, i suppose i can try to put something there, but its on a ledge and there isnt a whole lot of space...

hmm, I don't even think of making him pee in a specially designated place and fill the cage tray with wood scrap and no problem!
by the way, for some reason he never pees when walking&jumping in the room, just poo's all around as usual))
