My Kitties - Scrappy
« on: June 14, 2009, 07:57:57 AM »

Scrappy is one of Marmite's 3 daughters.  I literally watched her being born.  She was the smallest kitten of the litter and has followed me around since she was able to walk.  She is a very special girl and very sensitive, she loves me and me only, though she will sleep on my BF's feet at night.  She is a Dilute Tortoiseshell domestic long hair, we have no idea who her dad is.  But there was a beautiful black and white longhaired gent who was hanging around at the time of her conception...we assume he was her father.

::silly::   Another beautiful one!   Seems like you are an avid lover of animals ... most of us here are.   :::grins::

Is Scrappy true to her name?  She looks much to ladylike to be a fighter ... but looks can fool you sometimes.

We had one we named Spitfire the day he was born ... he hissed as spit at anyone that came close ... even before he ever opened his eyes ... but turned out to be one of the sweetest ones ... as long as you did not cross him.   :D  My son's friend that adopted him renamed him after a rock band ... I forget their names, but the kitten would make you think of them ... he was a calico ... the band members were always painted up with their hair sticking up everywhere and were constantly sticking out their tongs in pictures.

I JUST REMEMBERED ... the name of the band was "KISS"

::nod:: Scrappy is her true name...lol

She was such a tiny, scrawny scrap of fur when she was a kitten, so Scrappy just seemed to suit her.  She doesn't have a mean or aggressive bone in her body. lol  She's actually a very nervous and sensitive cat. (Not with me though)  I'm not sure why though...She's only ever been loved and adored...
