sick chin

steve seems not to be doing to well. very large mushy poop, teeth arnt as yellow as they should be. still as active tho mostly. kinda like sophie was when she was sick. he is eating tho which is good. he is on the same antibiotics sophie was on. see how that goes. anything i can do to get his calcium back up?

 ::silly::   I think it would be a good idea to take him in to see vet.

What was wrong with Sophie?

Were they caged together when Sophie was sick?

Are they caged together now?

Are you giving him yogurt between (3 hours before and/or 3 hours after) the doses of medication to replace the flora in his digestive system?

Take Steve out, sit him on a solid surface such as the floor.  Have a magnifying glass handy.  As soon as he poops, do not touch it, do not move it, but, immediately look at it under the magnifying glass ... does there appear to be mucous (like raw egg white) covering any part of the poop?  If the answer to this question is yes ... he needs to see a vet today and be checked for Giardia.

It isnt giardia. I have been to the vet.

Yes I am replacing the flora in his stomach....I'm very careful when medicating them.

And it seems that just like Sophie, he made a complete turnaround within 24 hours.

Maybe its stress perhaps? They all did just go through their first (and second and third) t-storms, plus I dogsat for a few hours as well.

Thunderstorms might have some effect, but the dog/dogs are probably the answer ... especially if they did any barking.     ::scaredspeachless::
