Hello
« on: August 27, 2008, 01:30:28 PM »

Hi my name is mike.  I recently got my first chinchilla he is wonderful.  I need to get him some buddies.  I found this site and am really pleased that this is here.  I have already read tons of stuff about these little guys.  Mine doesn't like to be held right now but he came from a pet store so he might not have got played with much. But I have him a great home and he really enjoys himself.  Is it normal for them to get really excited and not really pay attention to where they are going? Or maybe he is just clumsy.  Idk.

HI,
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your first chinchilla.  Chinchillas can be very clumsy!  They tend to run full speed by memory more than sight so they can/and will run head first into things sometimes.  Especially if you move the furniture.  :D

Yes welcome, we love meeting new chins and their slaves.
Once your new guy gets the run of the land he will be much better. It helps to let him run in the same place at the same time every day.
Even if I move something in my chins room they will run into it. ;D
Enjoy
