Hi all!

I'm from Minnesota and I'm brand new to this board. I wanted to be a part of a community that loves Chins just as much as I do!  ;)
My Chinchilla Peekers and her mate Boo just had their first litter of kits on August 8th =)
They are separated at the moment and Boo misses her like crazy even though he's right below her  :-[
Besides that I have 5 dogs and 5 cats - my own little "zoo"  :wildeyes:

Yes,,,,we are all nuts for chinchillas around here, plus all of our other critters.

I have 4 dogs, 1 conure, about 8 fish and 30 (with more on the way) chinchillas!!

Aw! What kind of dogs do you have?
I have a German Shepherd, a Chihuahua mix, a Miniature Pinscher, A Doberman, and a Pit Bull/Rottweiler mix - my babies  ::nod::
30 Chinnies! My Fiance would slaughter me! But I've been slowly growing over the last year - I'll have to keep it small until next winter - hopefully by that time I'll have a little bit more room!

We have two Dalmatians, one Walker hunting dog (we found as a puppy beside the road) and a Pekingnese/Yorkshire Terrier Mix.

It's so nice that you guys took in the puppy and kept him.
Our Shepherd, Chihuahua mix, and Pit/Rott are all rescues.
4 of our cats our rescues also.

12 Rats huh?! My Mom had a rat when she was younger and loved it to death. She said he was like a dog. I hear they are very intelligent  :)

rats are like little dogs . very loving and affectionate . they all come running to the door when i approach the cages thinking im going to open the door and love on them and when you see them piled up there you have to love on them.

extremely smart . if you think they can't do it you will see them try it and most of the time they succeed. I can not imagine my life without them . I cant imagine life without a chinchilla or a dog .

The down side to rats is that they only live about 3 years . So you love love love them while you have them .
