For the Northern Virginia people who do you guys go to for Chinchilla care? I have taken Silver to doctor olsen, greenbriar town center, as she has owned chinchilla's and knows a good deal about them but wanted to find out if there is a chinchilla specialist nearby. Fairfax Virginia would be prefered or close but will travel if I have to, want to minimize the chin shock.

Thanks

I have used the Stahl Exotic Clinic in Vienna.  Dr. Stahl and Dr. Crum are both amazing veterinarians with loads of experience with chinchillas.  Their website is:

Stahl Exotic Animal Veterinary Services

I have also heard that Eastern Veterinary Clinic is good, but I have not had occasion to deal with them personally.  The Springfield Emergency Clinic, off Braddock Road, is a good choice for off-hours emergency care.

Hope this helps!
