I bought it and then promptly returned it to the pet store it does not fit on the wires of my cage. it seems to need wires that go side to side not up and down. I was also conserned that it was plastic

I have thought about buying one for a while but it was plastic and didn't want to take the risk, although the idea is nice. For people saying things about super pet, they make the products, you buy them. Its a plastic item and if you know plastic is bad for chins why would you put it in your cage? there are metal ones that can be used too, just a thought.

It's actually not thad bad. It didn't really fit onto the
side of my cage very solidly so I took a mini bungee
cord and strapped it across the back of it. It works
pretty well and my chinnies don't really chew on it
that much because there isn't really much they can
reach other than the tabs that were supposed to
hold it in place but no longer really do. There's
better hoppers out there but this is a fairly decent
inexpensive one.

SuperPet dont know what thier doing. This is a disgrace. This makes a bowl full of hay better. I put this in my chinchilla's cage and he chewed the corner of it and made a big whole. SuperPet, if you don't know about chinchillas, don't make products for them. Plastic is very harmful for chins. I picked this product out because I thought SuperPet sells high quality pet products. :(
