The dish portion of the wheel is 15 inches in diameter! Even the largest chin has plenty of room to stretch out in a full-stride run. The dish is made of lathe-spun aluminum which provides a solid running surface with no openings for little chin legs to slip through. Even the edge of the wheel is rolled over so as not to present any sharp edges.
The entire wheel is powder coated which provides an enamel-like surface similar to what you might find on a washing machine. It makes for a hard, smooth and easy-to-clean surface that will last for many years.
While the wheel feels heavy due to its sturdy construction, its high quality ball bearings allow it to turn almost effortlessly.

We have had our Leo Braun Wheel for over 6 months and we, as well as our chins, absolutely love it! We have four chinchillas in two separate cages, the Leo Braun wheel in one cage and a cheap plastic wheel in the other. We have gone through two plastic wheels, enduring the noise, clanging, and breaking until now… we just ordered our second Leo Braun wheel for our other chins! They are so excited!

I just got mine a few days ago after waiting a month to get it and its great. Nice and quiet and its definatly more durable then a plastic wheel, which my chins ruined in a month. Its worth the extra money to buy something that will last :)

I've had one of Leo's wonderful wheels for several years now, and it's working as smoothly as the day it arrived. Our chin uses it every day, and it's running quietly. Very well made, and it's probably the best purchase we've ever made for our chin! A great product!

Pearl justs loves her wheel. It is whisper quiet and doesn't take up much room since it attaches to the side of the cage. Very good quality. Best wheel I have been able to find. Highly recommended!
