Chin-Chiller

Our Chin-Chillers™ can help keep your chinchilla cool and comfortable on warm summer days. Each Chin-Chiller™ is an approximately 6 x 12 x 1/4 piece of solid stone (such as granite or marble). Because Chin-Chillers™ are made of stone they are cooler than the ambient air temperature. So, placing a Chin-Chiller™ in your chin's cage will give your pet a cool place to relax. To get the maximum cooling effect store your Chin-Chiller™ in a refrigerator. In fact, on really warm days it's nice to have multiple Chin-Chillers™ on hand in the refrigerator so that they can be rotated every few hours.

Some of the Chin-Chillers™ are actually made of very pretty stone, but most are not. They are meant to be functional rather than pretty.

My chins love this product! I've a back up in the fridge. And after playtime I put a cooler one in the cage...the chins will spraul out on them. I notice them laying on them after they've played with each other or were active in their cage. It's definately cool to the touch the one that is left in the cage. But a nice cool one from the fridge is a wonderful reward of returning to their cage after playtime.

First let me say that I don't own one of these. I don't see the point. I am sure that they work, but I am amazed that anyone would pay so much for this. I got marble tiles from the hardware stores for my chins in a gorgeous pinkish tone for under $2 a piece! You can buy them individually and you can get different colors and styles of stone tiles that you like or match them with your cage for much less. I am only giving this 2 stars because I know that they are useful for chins, but this is a total rip off.

Moshi loves it! Especially right now with summer coming on and it gets kinda hot in his room. He almost always on it!

My Petie loves his. I keep his in his cage and if I see him resting against the bars of his cage I just throw it in the fridge for a few minutes and turn the air up. He loves to stretch out on it!

I don't really know how these particular ones are, but mine are great. I just went to a hardware store that had a three ft. flat of marble and got it cut into three pieces, and they work great! The amount that one of these cost is how much I got three for, so I'd just go to a hardware store. It's a lot cheaper. The idea is a good one though. My chins love it when I bring them out of the freezer. They stay cooler that way.
