This is really cute and I'm trying to find
a use for it, but no way is it big enough
for a chin to bathe in.

First of all, I know that the designer of this thing could not have owned chinchillas. It is entirely too small. I had 3 chinchillas and only the youngest that wasn't fully grown was even small enough to use it. The adults couldn't fit in it properly. The little one liked to use it for a house, so I left it in their cage. Big misstake! One day I went to the cage and didn't see one of my chinchillas. I called her and she didn't come, so I checked the houses and she wasn't in them. Then I looked in the ceramic bath and there she was curled in the bottom on her side twisted in an odd position like she had been trying to take a bath and got hurt and stuck. Do not buy this! If you have it do not use it! It isn't worth risking their lives.

These are very cute i have it in yellow but she cant roll in it theres not enough room it does fully dust her though but she cant spin around like a nut like she likes

Please forward this to chinchilla lovers everywhere. My daughter and I were devastated to find that one of our beloved chins had gotten in to a ceramic dust bath holder (the kind with the cutesy ears on top) and somehow managed to tip it over on the door side, couldn't push it up or get out, and SUFFOCATED. We hope that we can spare any future losses from this freak tragedy - these ceramic dust baths should come with a warning
